The Garmin Venu features the new Garmin Coach, which will guide you through different workouts to help you achieve your fitness goals.

You have to feel good to look good, and part of that is working out and making an effort to lead a healthy lifestyle. But exercise isn’t everything. Things like having a balanced diet, getting sufficient sleep, practicing mindfulness and even drinking water are all part of the equation. With so much to keep track of, it can be quite mentally taxing to keep up a healthy lifestyle. Well, the Garmin Venu can help with that.

The new Garmin Venu GPS smartwatch comes with a whole host of features to support health-boosting activities. And unlike other smartwatches on the market, it is relatively compact even though it boasts a five-day battery life. Yes, five days! So, here is a rundown of everything you can expect from the Garmin Venu.

It’s actually pretty

The Venu comes in 4 colours: Black with Slate Hardware, Granite Blue with Silver Hardware, Black with Gold Hardware and Light Sand with Rose Gold Hardware. Garmin

Unlike other smartwatches, the Venu maintains a pretty familiar form: round face,  contrasting buttons and beautifully made straps. Aside from the lack of an ever-present watch face, the Venu looks like a regular watch that’s simple, functional and beautiful.

Long list of health and wellness functions

Speaking of functional, the Venu comes with a really long list of abilities and apps that will help you stay on top of all your self-care needs. In fact, the list is so long that we can’t include them all. So, here is a few of our favourites.

The Venu can track your period and give you a heads up when it’s around the corner. Simply log your period when it comes and the watch will forecast the next cycle, including symptoms such as changes in mood and cravings. It is incredibly detailed and really helps you understand your cycles. You can find out more here.

If you choose to, you can also wear the Venu to bed. The watch uses new respiration tracking technology to estimate the light, deep and REM sleep you receive each night and Pulse Ox to gauge blood oxygen levels. Combining the two, the watch is able to predict your quality of sleep. You can then use the information to adjust your sleep schedules and habits for a good night’s rest.

Garmin also created the Body Battery function, which checks your energy levels at any given time. This way, you know if you are feeling 100% or are too tired from a long day at work. You can review this information and make decisions – like if you need to plan more rest time or if it is really a good idea to have a work out session after clocking in overtime at the office.

A personal coach in a watch

Part of having a healthier lifestyle is adopting a more active one. But some of us may not know exactly how to begin working out or which routine to adopt. Garmin Coach is here to show you how. The new function comes with over 40 new and easy-to-follow workouts. These workouts are demonstrated by a 3D model, that shows the correct form and technique to get the best out of your session. Always connected

The Venu helps you stay connected. The smartwatch displays all your health stats and information with just a tap. Plus, it is able to sync to your device to display incoming messages, emails, and appointments. Other smart features include the ability to access your Spotify playlists without your phone in range, send a distress signal for emergency services and replace your EZ-link card to name a few.

That display!

The Venu uses a vibrant 1.2” AMOLED display – the same sort of display you would find on your iPhone or Samsung devices. Combine that with the ability to change the wallpaper of the watch face to any image on your smartphone and you have a stunning display that can match your personality.
